Our project set out to create water color and batik artwork through observation of our landscape, photos of Troy's architecture and animals of the northwest. |

did the project accomplish? Who was served and how did they benefit?

Troy Elementary students accomplished exposure to techniques of watercolors, watercolor pencils, and using the batik method. This project served kindergarten through sixth grade students. This project brought the community and our school community together while participating in an art walk and reception.The art inspired students to write poetry about their subjects. |

Evaluation method: teacher-student generated rubric
Teacher Observation: Students guided family members through the art walk discussing the skills, materials, and procedures.
Student Observations: students observed and discussed others' art work |
